Isabelle SOURIMENT, professional photographer for more than 25 years, works as an author and photographer, both for galleries, individuals, companies and local authorities.
Childhood in « Le Conquet", a small fishing port in Finistère in Brittany France.
At the age of 18, I go to England to study photography and art. In 1992, I obtained an A level in Photography at the London College of Printing, then in 1995, an HND in Photography at Bournemouth University and in 1998, a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Goldsmith's College.
After that I became a freelance photographer for Christie's in London. I also produce reports for newspapers such as The Observer and Open University and work as a production assistant "at Location Work" for several agencies, practicing several photographic and artistic genres.
After twelve years in London, I moved to the Gers (South of France) in 2004 and continue to travel regularly to carry out various projects (exhibitions, commissions, mediations, workshops, editions...).
I use photography as a medium of reflection, creating real or imaginary scenarios that question the world around me.
