Announcing our last big cheese winner!
The Federation of European Professional Photographers is proud to announce that, Tim Hoffesommer, a student at the Handwerkskammer University of Dortmund in Germany, is the 2019 & last ever winner of our FETA Award, with a stunning entry of 9 coffee related images.
With merits awarded to Auriane Argaud, a student from IRFMA 30 in Nimes, France with a quirky twist on canine photography & Agnieszka Iwanska, an apprentice at Fotograf Løtvedt in Bergen, Norway with a set of portraits. Each entry was a panel of nine images, with students from all over Europe submitting work.
The Award Ceremony took place in the House of Music of Innsbruck, Austria, on March 16th, 2019. The winners were awarded by the FETA Chairman Jim Lowe and by Erik Wiegman, representing ChromaLuxe, sponsor of this competition.
The initials, FETA stood for FEP Emerging Talent Award, but after much criticism about being too cheesy, the competition will now be known as the FEP Young Photographer Award and will be open not only to students on nationally recognised courses but to assistants and photographers under the age of thirty.
FETA Chairman, Jim Lowe, thought that the finalists had shown a great deal of expertise, especially the winner. He wished them all luck in their chosen careers.
