Biography

His first acquaintance and apprenticeship with photography were with an á la minute photographer. As he came from a photographer family, his photography training continued at his father’s studio starting from his elementary school years. He graduated from Uludağ University Department of Marketing in 1987; Mimar Sinan University Department of Photography in 1991.  He is currently doing his master’s degree in photography at Marmara University, Faculty of Fine Arts. He did reportage photography for newspapers and magazines, worked as a freelancer and attended various group exhibitions during his school years. Following his graduation, he managed the family studio between 1991-1998. He started his own studio in Istanbul which concentrated on advertising and fashion photography in 1998. He conducted Photography and Communication in Marketing classes at Mimar Sinan University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Photography between 2008-2010. He conducted Advertising Photography classes at Işık University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Graphic Arts and Graphic Design between 2009-2011. He coordinates and provides training programmes in all fields of photography for amateurs, advanced amateurs, professionals and private institutions. He writes memoirs and articles for printed sectorial magazines and web portals. His photographs are printed in national and international publications. Towards the end of 2010, he prepared the manifest and establishment declaration of Photographers Professional Organization and led the establishment of it in order to focus on the solution of the challenges of the photography sector and its workers. He acted as the chairman of Photographers’ Professional Organization between 2010-2013 and currently a member of the board of supervisors of it. His “Wedding Photography” book which he compiled with his clients photographs at their weddings was printed by Say Kitap in 2013. He published his “Architecture and Real Estate Photography” book from his own company Inplato in 2014. He was invited to the “Sony Ambassador Project” which Sony Global Photography Department conducts worldwide for its Turkish extension as one of the eight Turkish photographers in 2014. He currently continues providing services in his photography and videography productions studio.
