Els Pede (°1971) is a Belgian photographer and student of interior design. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in photography at LUCA School of Arts, campus Narafi. Her work explores themes such as transience, silence, and the relationship between human presence, objects, and space. Moving between still life, portraiture, and landscape, she brings a strong focus on composition, atmosphere, and materiality.
Working in both digital and analog formats, she chooses her medium based on the emotional depth and rhythm each subject evokes. This approach results in images that convey stillness and layered meaning. Natural elements, textures, and traces of time often form the foundation of her visual language.
Her background in healthcare and current studies in interior design deepen her sensitivity to the human condition and the influence of spatial environments. Through her work, she seeks moments of calm, reflection, and meaning within an ever-changing world.
