FEP CONGRESS INFORMATION
NEW SPEAKER
We are delighted to inform you that at the 2nd FEP European Congress of Professional Photographers (Lyon, 6th-8th February 2011) we will have a new fantastic speaker: UWE OMMER.
Uwe Ommer embodies the purest spirit of the reporter: no one like him can claim to have spent 4 years traveling the world with his camera and without even a watch, and to have returned (changed in his soul as well) with his Family Album of Planet Earth to provide a universal testimony of the value of images. However, Ommer also demonstrated all of his originality in his studio shots, from the idea of inviting the models to photograph themselves to his witty take on “Obama-mania”. During his presentation at the Congress, he will show the results of his terrific and unique experience and will amaze us with his work titled “From Black Ladies to Teens & Families” that covers about 20 years of “personal” projects..with “ordinary people”..in opposition to professional models.
Meeting Uwe Ommer will be an enthusiastic journey with an incomparable artist.
Finally, we regretfully have to inform you that, for personal reasons, the expected speaker, Sarah Moon will not be able to attend in person our Congress. However, she should send a video presentation.
PRESENTATION OF THE WINNERS AND FINALISTS OF THE 2010 FEP COMPETITIONS AND NEW QEP AND MASTER QEP HOLDERS AT THE CONGRESS
During the first day, Sunday, February 06th, at 10,30 all attending winners and finalists of the 2010 FEP competitions will be called onto the stage and presented with their certificate. The Photographers who obtained their QEP and MASTER QEP during 2010, will be presented too.
COMPETITIONS
The FEP European Fine Art Photograph of the Year Award 2010, sponsored by Towergate Camerasure, and the FEP European Photo Book of the Year Award 2010 closed on January 10th, 2011 and are now being judged.
